New coffee shop opens at Methodist Hospital | Business

On Wednesday, July 6, Methodist Hospital will host a grand opening celebration for its coffee shop, Thirst Aid Station. The public is invited to stop by and enjoy fresh baked goods, music, and Starbucks coffee products.

The Thirst Aid Station is located in the Elm Street Lobby of Methodist Hospital, 1305 North Elm Street.

The coffee shop features donuts and pastries made fresh daily in our in-house “Bluegrass Bakery” and serves Starbucks coffee products. Methodist Hospital is authorized to create and serve Starbucks beverages as part of a business arrangement known as the “We Proudly Serve” model. With this arrangement, Methodist Hospital owns and operates the coffee shop and utilizes Starbucks as its coffee vendor. 

The Thirst Aid Station is open Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 6:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Closed on Sundays and daily from 11:00 to 11:30 a.m.

6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. – Free samples of baked goods from our in-house “Bluegrass Bakery” and try free samples of Starbucks coffee drinks to get your morning off to a bright start.

6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – Stop by for free samples of Starbucks beverages including soothing hot tea or refreshing frozen beverages and enjoy the sounds of local piano, voice, and guitar musicians from Riverbend Academy.
