Help a veteran have a Merry Christmas | Community Spirit

In an effort to recognize and honor veterans in residential care facilities in Henderson, Union, and Webster counties during the Christmas holiday, the Henderson Office of Employment and Training will again sponsor the Eighth Annual Adopt-A-Veteran Angel Tree Program. 

Located in the front lobby of the Henderson Career Center at 212 N. Water Street, the Veterans’ Angel Tree will have the names of veterans living in local residential nursing care facilities.

The staff of the Henderson Career Center hopes community members will be angels and stop by the center to adopt a veteran.  Donations for the adopted veterans will be taken to the residential care facilities by center staff members and given to the veterans for Christmas.
