Homeless man arrested for drugs, running from cops | Crime
A homeless man is in jail after Henderson Police say he tried to hide drugs from them and then took off to avoid arrest.
Police say they got a call about a suspicious man on South Green Street. When they arrived to investigate, they say they found a bag of pills on 46-year-old James E. Miller.
That's when they say Miller took off on foot and tried to throw a jacket containing pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
He was charged with a variety of drug oiffenses as well as fleeing or evading police and tampering with physical evidence.
He's in the Henderson County Detention Center.
