HENDERSON, KY (WFIE)- Carolyn Boster said a loud noise woke her up in the middle of the night and by the time she got up and out of bed, the intruder had already run through the house and out the back door.
But Carolyn said this isn't the first time she's had unwanted thieves.
"It makes you feel violated you know when they came in the second time, they took my purse with all my everything in it, all my ID, my medical records, everything," Boster said.
Boster thought her home is pretty safe. But early Wednesday morning she woke up and found out she wasn't alone.
"I mean sound asleep at 2:30 in the morning and it sounded like World War II going on in my bathroom when they came in the bathroom window knocked the blind down, knocked the toilet seat off," Boster said.
Carolyn thinks the suspect stood on a cinder block and climbed through her bathroom window, which is just feet from where she sleeps.
"It would cause you to have a heart attack, they're going to keep me having a heart attack," she said.
Carolyn's family thinks the suspect is someone she knows. And she says if that's the case, Carolyn said they should know better.
"They know I got a gun, they know I'll shoot them if I can get up in time," Carolyn said.
Neighbors say she's been the only one targeted, but that doesn't make them feel any safer.
"It's scary because if they can get in hers, I live next door, you know you don't know who it is," neighbor Debra Stapleton said.
Carolyn said she's already on edge because an intruder broke in a few months ago.
The first night suspects stole more than $200 from her wallet. And the very next night, the thieves came back for her entire purse. She said she's fed up.
"Leave me alone, period. I don't have any money, you took my money," Carolyn said.
Carolyn said the suspect even unscrewed the bulbs from her flood lights.
