Miracle on the Hudson survivor to speak in Henderson | Events
Nationally renowned speaker Dave Sanderson’s mother repeatedly told him, ‘If you do the right thing, God will take care of you.’ When the jetliner he was riding on crashed into the Hudson River on Jan. 15, 2009, his mother’s guidance popped into his mind. ‘To me the right thing was to take care of everyone else on the plane. To make sure everyone got out safely.’
Sanderson was the last of the 155 people off the plane that day for the crash that will forever be known as The Miracle on The Hudson. He credits two things for his survival: His faith in God and the American Red Cross.
Sanderson will visit Henderson this weekend for The Cardinal Ball, to benefit the Red Cross. Guests will have an opportunity to meet Sanderson during the event on Saturday, February 2, 2013. For more information about this event, please contact Malissa Troutman, Area Manager for the Red Cross at (270) 925-2169.
He will also host a meet and greet and book signing from 12 pm to 2 pm at Delizio Italian Eatery in Henderson, located at 145 North Main Street in Henderson. Dave will have copies of the book featuring his story, Brace for Impact, available and he will autograph the book for those who purchase a copy for a suggested donation of $20 or more to the American Red Cross.
