Smith Mills family tree yields odd surprise | Home & Garden

Michael Meyer was just trying to clear some brush at his parents' house in Smith Mills.  As he finished the cut and the stump was revealed, he feared he had cut his hand.  A brilliant, swirling red pattern occupied the center of the tree.  Mike says the tree grew over an old well that always had lots of iron, so he thinks the tree must have absorbed some over the years.
