Almost 30 dogs seized from Henderson County residence | News
HENDERSON CO., KY (WFIE)- Almost
30 dogs were taken into custody on Wednesday night during an abuse and neglect
investigation by the Humane Society of Henderson County and Animal Control.
Executive Director of the Humane Society of Henderson County, Kent Preston,
says that 27 Airedale terriers were seized during the investigation.
to animal control officials, no charges have been filed.
Humane Society of Henderson County Facebook page says the dogs were living in "substandard
conditions at a residence in Henderson County."
post continues, "Animal Control officers responded to the residence and found
nearly 30 dogs in kennels covered with fecal material and living in deplorable
and unlivable conditions. Animal Control officers and Humane Society personnel
took possession of all dogs, examined them at a Veterinarian for any issues
they may need, and housed them at the Humane Society."
Humane Society says that charges have been places on the owner of the dogs and
they are currently awaiting trial.
