Snow plows to be used out-of-season for work along Audubon Parkway | News
If you drive on the Audubon Parkway in Henderson County on Monday and Tuesday, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says be alert for a moving work zone that includes something a bit out of season.
KYTC says Henderson County maintenance crews will be using a snow plow to cut back shoulders along the Audubon from the Pennyrile Parkway to near the Hebbardsville Exit.
Officials say dirt accmulates along the edge of the shoulder creating a ridge that can sometimes hold water on the pavement. Normally a power grader is used to knock off the ridge, however, a snow plow blade works just as well and can move faster.
There will be a sweeper following the snow plow to keep loosened dirt off the roadway, along with other support vehicles and personnel.
KYTC say motorists should be alert for the moving work zone along the Audubon Parkway on Monday and possibly into Tuesday.
