Henderson pedestrian hit twice; one arrested, one sought | News
A Henderson man walking across U.S. 41 North was struck by two vehicles Friday evening. One of the drivers was arrested for DUI and the other fled the scene.
Police say 50-year-old Paul Payne was walking east across the highway near the intersection of Marywood around 7:30 when he was hit by a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Barry Dempsey of Newburgh. Another driver then struck Payne as well, but that driver took off.
Police say Dempsey was found to be driving under the influence. He was arrested for DUI Aggravating Circumstances.
