Wax museum at Bend Gate Elementary | Schools

On February 28, 2013 from 6:00 p.m.-7:15 p.m., Bend Gate Elementary will host a "Wax Museum" of famous American icons.

The "Wax Museum" is a final portion of a three-part project the third grade students are currently studying. Each student researched a famous American icon of his/her choice and created a book report with a timeline of the person's life.

The second component of the project included creating a poster display with important facts and pictures of their icon.

 Students are currently working on the third portion of the project which includes designing an appropriate costume and writing a speech that reflects the appropriate time period and information. Students are creating personalized buttons which will be used when visitors to the “Wax Museum” pass each display and press their button in order to hear them speak about their character.
